What we sell

Wunkus Labs sells hobbyist electronics: replacement storage boards and accessories for vintage devices. These are enthusiast products for people comfortable opening and modifying old hardware. They are not consumer appliances, and they are not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

You do the installation

Our products require you to open, disassemble, and modify a vintage device. Vintage devices are fragile, contain aging batteries, and can be damaged by disassembly no matter how careful you are. By purchasing, you acknowledge that you install at your own risk and that you are responsible for your device, your tools, and your workspace. If you are not comfortable with that, please do not install our products.

Compatibility

Compatibility is as described on each product page and nowhere else. Third-party cards and adapters vary widely; where a product page says an adapter type “seems to work,” that reflects limited testing, not a guarantee. Physical fit constraints on the product page (for example, Type I 3.3 mm CF adapters only) are firm.

No warranty

Products are provided as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wunkus Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some or all of the above may not apply to you.

Independent of the above, we warrant our boards against defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from delivery. If a board is defective, contact us with your order number and we will repair, replace, or refund it at our choice. This warranty does not cover misuse, improper installation, modifications, normal wear, or damage caused by the device the board is installed in. We stand behind our assembly; we just cannot warrant what a 25-year-old device will do.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wunkus Labs's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product, and Wunkus Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including damage to the device a product is installed in, loss of data, or loss of use. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some or all of the above may not apply to you.

Backorders

Items marked as backorder are charged at checkout and ship when stock arrives. Ship estimates on backordered items are estimates, not promises. You may cancel a backordered item any time before it ships for a full refund; just contact us.

Shipping and returns

We ship to the address you provide at checkout; please make sure it is correct, and contact us promptly if it changes before your order ships. International orders may be subject to import duties, customs fees, or taxes levied by your country; those are your responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping rates. Unopened, uninstalled products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price; return shipping is on you. Installed boards cannot be returned except under the dead-on-arrival policy above.

Contact and disputes

Questions and warranty claims: reply to your order receipt email. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
